The History and Heritage of Our Family |
|
Our NZ Heritage and Family History eLetter is an emailed document produced bimonthly (though the last three issues have been monthly to get things started) that can be printed out as a normal newsletter and kept as a record of the history of the family as it is currently known. Each eLetter looks in detail at the life and times of a single family or member of the family. The eLetter is not meant as a detailed analysis but rather a summary of what is known of the life and times of the subject and provides some documented evidence to support the stories. In addition updated printable and connectable copies of the various family trees including the start of the lineage series will be included with every issue. Volume 1, Issue 1: John Clark Lidiard—released in April 2008 Other eLetters to expect in Volume 1: The Eveleigh Family; E.J.Stevens; The Stevens of Sussex—a lineage; George Stevens and his line; The Howell and Wohlers connections Four volumes are planned in the series: Volume 1 exploring the Stevens Lineage—up until and including E.J. Stevens, Volume 2 will investigate the Croot Lineage including the Day family; Volume 3 will take a detailed look at the families of the children of E.J. Stevens and Mary-Ann Eveleigh and Volume 4 will tell the story of Leslie Stevens and Elsie Croot and their family.
Back copies of all Issues are available on request. |

Read the story of John Clark Lidiard as told by his great-great-great-great granddaughter aka SiteMan. This excellent account is the result of some extensive research and a dedication to have John Lidiard recognized as a pre-colonial figure in New Zealand’s history. Thoroughly recommended. |

A SPECIAL NOTE: The eLetters came about because of the difficulty in maintaining a 100-page+ eBook with full connectivity with all the changes that are inevitable with this type of research. There were many errors and inconsistencies in the 1st edition and it needed more attention than I am able to dedicate to it at this time. Of course, there will be a need to update the information in the eLetters as well, but because each is limited to just 8-pages, this can be more easily done. Please if you do notice an error or omission that you are able to correct, let me know so we can keep the information as accurate as possible. |
