Welcome to Our NZ Heritage |
|
Welcome to Our New Zealand Heritage, a website created to preserve and share the history and heritage of the Stevens family and the families that have become associated with its members since the family first came to New Zealand. This webpage is intended as a gateway to family trees, photo galleries, histories, stories and memories of our family members both past and present. The format is simple - through the links in this website you can: Browse the various Family Trees available. Read about the Histories of the ancestors that we know about. Request membership to Our NZ Heritage eGroup to receive regular detailed eLetter on the various members of the family. Contribute additional information, documents, photographs or stories to any of the documents or websites. Make recommendations for future extensions to the site, including providing your own family tree for inclusion. The first phase of Our NZ Heritage project was to establish a family network and to make available to all in that network the History and Heritage of Our Family as it stands today both in web form and in eBook form. That task proved both challenging and cumbersome and while the first edition of the eBook was published in December 2006, it soon became apparent that a more manageable medium was needed to communicate, update and collate family information. After a month traveling to important family landmarks, doing research into existing stories and talking to family members a new concept— Our NZ Heritage and Family History eLetter—was conceived. Each issue will be dedicated to a single member of the family and will include Stories, Photographs, the Family Tree for that member as well as printable trees of their lineage, and a Bulletin Board with family news, views and contact information. The eLetter is a bimonthly newsletter that will automatically be sent to any registered member of the family. This is Our New Zealand Heritage—let’s keep track of it. |
